St. Alban’s Elberton
Visitor FAQ
Welcome to St. Alban’s Elberton Episcopal Church, a diverse and joyful community of faith. We are people of all ages and backgrounds, walking together on our sacred journeys with God in Christ. No matter where you are in life or in faith, you are welcome here.
At St. Alban’s Elberton Episcopal Church, we believe that there’s always more to discover — more grace, more connection, more purpose. We hope you’ll share that experience with us.
What happens in a service?
Our Sunday Service may vary as we seek a new or interim priest. Services will be either Holy Eucharist or Morning Prayer. Both include scripture and community prayers. Communion is offered when we celebrate Holy Eucharist.
Check our schedule to see which service is scheduled for a particular Sunday. You may also contact us to join our email distribution and receive weekly reminders.
9:00 AM Service
We follow the Book of Common Prayer, a central tradition in the Episcopal Church that roots our worship in scripture and community.
Who may take communion?
Everyone is welcome at Christ’s table — no exceptions. You do not need to be a member of St. Alban’s Elberton Episcopal Church or any church, nor do you need to be baptized. You may join us to receive communion, come forward for a blessing, or remain seated during this time. The Holy Table belongs to God.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. Some parishioners dress formally, others wear jeans and t-shirts — all are equally welcome. The focus is on worship, not wardrobe.
How many people attend?
On Sundays during the school year, about 75-100 people attend our services combined. Visitors often tell us that our size makes it easy to get to know others and feel part of the community — there’s always room for you and your family.
What about children?
We love having children in worship. There is a cozy space at the back for toddlers who need to move around.
Will I be asked to give money?
We provide an offering plate for members and regular attendees. Visitors and guests are never expected to give — your presence is a gift in itself. If you’d like to support the church later, you can make an online donation through our Giving Page.

Yes, join us for free coffee and snacks in the Parish Hall after the 9:00 AM service. It’s a relaxed time to meet new people and learn more about the community.
